£7.99 Body Strap Link At Bottom

I bought this strap 25th September 2017 and I love it. Its cheap (£7.99) but its so good for the money.

The Strap

As you can see from the pic you screw the attachment ring plug into the standard tripod thread. Then put the strap hook through the ring. Once the hook is attached screw down the screw lock so it doesn't come open.

The metal is strong, all screw threads are tough and haven't warped or distorted after a lot of abuse. The material strap is good, it gets twisted now and then but nothing a few twists cant fix.

The shoulder strap pad is comfy and sits on the shoulder nicely, even with a heavy camera. I've never used the zip pocket in the pad, I always have a bag and I know ill forget something in it.

Using

I use a large camera (Pentax K-1) with this is attached the camera fits perfectly and just hangs on my waist. This is a much better carrying method.

My camera weighs 1010g (Body, Battery & SD Card)With no lens attached. So can be heavy with a lens. Especially my Pentax 15-30 (another 1040g) I Have put this configuration on the strap and don't see any issues.

With the camera hanging off the hip I have much better movement as the camera isn't on my chest or in the way. My hands are also free to carry anything.

The only inconvenience is tight spaces. Recently I photographed a mess dinner (post to come soon) at some points I was walking through crowded rooms and for safety I did hold my camera in my left hand as not to knock it. This isn't a massive issue but I just wanted to be fair and put it in here.

TLDR

Body strap better than neck strap, easier to move and takes the weight well. Tight spaces may need you to hold / carry but not always.
